A way to develop your child's right brain

Surveys show that more than 95 percent of people use only half of their brain, the left hemisphere. Why does this happen? This is mainly related to the living habits of human beings. Human beings are always used to using tools with their right hands, and the left brain is stimulated to different degrees every day. In addition, language centre, logical analysis, number processing, memory, etc., are processed by the left brain, so the left brain operates at full load. On the other hand, due to the traditional exam-oriented education, children lack the education of non-verbal thinking ability. Many schools and families do not pay attention to the development of the right brain and the cultivation of logical thinking ability.

As a result, it has cultivated a large group of left-brained people who only follow the rules and lack the flexibility and creativity. Now I would like to introduce to you the operable methods of developing the potential of the right brain in foreign media.

(1) Cultivate children's creativity

A large part of a person's memory is stored in a blurred image on the right side of the brain. Thinking is a process in which the left brain, while observing the image depicted by the right brain, symbolizes and languages it. Therefore, the left brain has a strong instrumental nature, which is responsible for transforming the image thinking of the right brain into language. What we often call "intuition" and "a flash of thought" is that the intuitive, comprehensive, visual thinking function of the right brain comes into play, and the left brain needs to cooperate well. Fostering creativity in children is one of the ways to develop the right brain. Educational toys are the best tool for developing the right brain. Educational toys are mainly in the form of inserting, assembling, playing and other activities. Children can read pictures by themselves and assemble them according to the diagram, which is a creative activity and also a form to inspire children to think in the right brain.

(2) Exercise children's image thinking ability

The process of image thinking, in essence, is first produced by the right brain image, and then through the left brain to make its language. Therefore, conscious exercise of image thinking can achieve the purpose of activating the right brain.

Image thinking ability, if not paid attention to exercise, will gradually decline. Therefore, for children should be more conscious to exercise image thinking ability.

For young children, fairy tales are the best way to develop the visual thinking ability of the right brain. Fairy tales are full of fantasy, can inspire children to read, while in the mind associated with a lively scene, this requires image thinking ability.

Watching sports games can also exercise children's right brain and improve their image thinking ability. Each thrilling scene brings a series of charming imaginings to your right brain as a result of the benign stimulation of watching sports.

People's dreams are actually the stories depicted in the unconscious right brain. When they wake up from the dream, they immediately write down the content or tell it to others, which is equivalent to recreating the image of the right brain, which is beneficial to stimulate the right brain.

At the same time, it is also an effective means of coordinating the left and right brain, which will have a positive effect on the overall activation of the brain. People who use the abacus to do calculations can sometimes use mental arithmetic to move abacus beads in their minds, which is called image thinking. Even people who are not very good at abacus can exercise the right brain with this method.

(3) The right brain can be developed by using graphics instead of language

Explain the problem to the child, to use more graphics to tell, such as the use of a big circle and a small circle to tell which is big and which is small; Drawing two "" s, drawing three" "s, and performing calculations are all good ways to develop the right side of your brain when teaching your child a 23=5 math problem.

In daily life, people lay particular stress on using language to express, and gradually forget the graphic expression. In other words, people rely too much on the left side of the brain. Therefore, we should consciously use the method of graphic expression to let the right brain participate in daily life.

Computer games are also a good tool to exercise the right brain of children. Parents are asked to choose a graphic - based game for their child. Playing video games is a child's favorite activity. Playing video games will exercise the right brain in a pleasant atmosphere.

(4) Exercise children's shape and feature memory

The right side of the brain has type recognition, so in a crowded crowd, you can immediately recognize someone you know well. This is when the human brain, based on the accumulation of past memories, quickly depicts various images of that person, and then matches them with visual impressions of the characteristics, and in a split second to determine who that person is. So consciously exercising this ability can stimulate the right side of the brain. Playing chess is a good way to train your right brain's ability to recognize patterns. When a child plays Go or chess, the point is not to think about moves, but to remember the "shape" and "posture" that are dotted and crisscrossed on the board. Training your child to try to remember the moves on the board will stimulate the right side of his brain.

In everyday life, a similar right brain "activation" can be done everywhere. At high points, turn your head slightly to the right and use your left visual field to observe the cars on the street. Remember their colors and shapes and arrange them in your mind. Take your child out for a walk and see a pet you are interested in. You should make your child try to remember it and then try to recall its loveliness. Maybe at first the child will find it difficult to remember, but after repeated training, the child will be able to grasp the features of the other.

(5) Exercise children's spatial awareness

When we get home at night, we don't have to turn on the light, and we can walk around without hitting walls and falling. This spatial awareness is the function of the right brain.

You can get your child into a new environment, look around, put a cloth over his eyes, and play tag with him. It's a great way to exercise the right brain.

The ability to remember the road is also a spatial ability. You can take your child for a walk in the park and let him take you back the way he came from.

They can also look up at the sky and see the clouds in the sky. Gradually the child will sense the three-dimensional image and layers of the cloud.

These are the best ways for children to exercise their right brain with spatial knowledge.

(6) To cultivate children's ability to appreciate

The right brain has the ability to draw. Painting works, natural scenery, let children enjoy, intoxicated with it, is a good way to develop the right brain.

Take children to flower shows, bonsai shows and other exhibitions to enjoy the works directly and comprehensively, which is conducive to activating the right brain. Stimulation of the right side of the brain will be more pronounced. When you paint, you want to be free from all restrictions.

Getting your child to practise painting is very helpful in training him to consciously observe and try to remember the various forms of nature. It also stimulates the right side of the brain.
